I can't promise that I'll be back often, but I really enjoy this blog and hopefully I will continue posting throughout this holiday season! I had a lot of fun with this and just wanted to say thanks to all my friends who came and read it because I annoyed the crap out of you to! =]

Christmas Spirit Anyone?

In the holiday season everyone has their own special way of bringing about Christmas spirit! As you could tell from the previous posts, my way is obviously jamming to Christmas carols all day everyday! A friend of mine, Peter, has his own special way of sharing this Christmas spirit with all of us. Every day, not only does he have a countdown till Christmas, but he also shares a Christmas song of the day! Today his song of the day was it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and he posted this video to go along!

As if this wasn’t enough, he is personally spreading the Christmas cheer by caroling himself! He will be uploading a video of his own Christmas carol of the day! If this isn’t the best Christmas spirit you’ve seen then tell me what is!? Leave comments and tell me how you personally spread the joy and spirit of the holiday season! And as my friend Peter says
It really is beginning to look a lot like Christmas! And be honest look around you, the holiday season is alive and KICKING! Happy holidays everyone!! =]

25 Days Of Christmas Has OFFICIALLY Begun!

For the ABC family 25 days of christmas schedule Click Here!

I love ABC Family's 25 Days Christmas. I record all of my favorites every year just in case I miss something! But even if you can’t record it, that’s what’s amazing about ABC family this season, it is ALWAYS on! There is always a holiday classic on so it is nearly impossible to miss them all if you just turn it on! But this year it’s all being recorded. After finals its movie time! Get the hot chocolate, turn the fireplace on, sit with my Christmas pj’s and blankie and its movie night every night! (If you haven’t noticed by now I’m really into Christmas time) Tonight was Dr. Seuss night and you can bet I recorded How the Grinch Stole Christmas! I would say what my favorite Christmas movie was right now but I can't just pick one! If you have any favorites let me know! There is one movie I have yet to watch, but I listen to the song from the movie every year and it really gets to me. It is based on a #1 hit record and best-selling book. The movie came out in 2002 and is called The Christmas Shoes and stars Rob Lowe and Kimberly Williams. A workaholic attorney crosses paths with a young boy on Christmas Eve and rediscovers the true meaning of love, life and the holiday season.

Christmas Music! (click here for holiday radio)

My favorite thing about this season is definitely the holiday radio! I have been bumming around all week listening to Christmas songs on my iheartradio app on my phone! Is it ever really too early to start playing Christmas music? I know they have been playing Christmas commercials since early October, which I think is a little early. But people insist that you have to wait until after Thanksgiving to put your tree up and get into Christmas mode. I disagree!! In my car I started tuning in to the radio stations 106.7 Lite FM and Magic 98.3 since before thanksgiving! On my phone I downloaded the iheartradio app and favorite the stations Holiday mix, Holiday Jams, and Christmas Lites. And finally on my laptop I bookmarked the website http://www.accuradio.com/holidaysradio/ which has a selection of awesome Christmas stations to listen to! I know, I know, I went all out this season! I am a Christmas freak!! I hope you enjoy some of these stations for the Holidays!

Happy be-lated Thanksgiving!! =]

Hey guys! =] I'm so sorry everything has been a little bit crazy and I haven't been able to post as I promised about the Halloween theme week! We are in a new season now though and that is the wonderful winter holiday season! This is my favorite season of the year! To start off the season is Thanksgiving day! How was everyone's thanksgiving??? On the radio I heard a question that is always interesting to hear the answer to. Does anyone have the one thing that some family member makes every year for the holidays that no one else likes? Leave comments below if you have suffered through that year after year and tell me what it is! =]

So what's up with all the 3-D??

So has anyone noticed the increasing amount of movies coming out in 3D lately? I mean it seems like every series ends with a 3D movie. Take the Saw movies for example, Saw 3D is coming out and so is Jackass 3D.. both coming this month! There's also so many cartoon movies coming out in 3D. Despicable Me, Shrek 3D and many more. Many of the movies seem to instead of coming out with just their 3rd movie.. it also has to be 3D..  like Step Up 3-D.. and Toy Story 3-D.. In 2010 over 20 movies have either come out in 3D or have yet to come, the highest number of 3D movies per year! Only a decade ago 3D movies were out but very rare, not a few a month like now.. and the number has slowly increased every year but made a drastic increase in the past two years alone. Its crazy how everything seems to slowly be changing, cartoons, horror movies, everything is coming out in 3D. Even TV's are being made in 3D.. the progression of technology in entertainment is astounding and rapidly changing within our own lifetime! Lemme know what you think about the amount of 3D movies coming out this year!! Comment some favorites or some of the worst 3D movies you have seen !! thankkss!! =]

What's New: Media Today

Hey guys! So this is a blog about different entertainment topics popular today! Well to start off I thought I would talk about this new show called The Event on NBC. The show originally aired on September 20, 2010. I began watching it however last week on the 27th and I watched the first two episodes together. The way the show progresses is very interesting. It shows random days, and it is not in sequence, but it will tell you how many days earlier from present day they are showing at the moment, almost like flashbacks.
As the show begins, we see someone trying to stop a plane from take-off. All of the radios go down at once and the whole system is down. We see a chase between car and plane and all the while the audience is left out of the loop being brought in little by little with these flashbacks. As events take a turn for the worse, we see a murder, a kidnapping, an assassination attempt,a hijacking, prisoners, and much more! I don't want to say too much now so I don't spoil it for anyone because it is a new show, but go out there and watch it and come back! Everything is fair game in the comments! So don't read them till you have watched the show!
I think as a new show it is a little interesting, but the whole sci-fi thing may or may not hold my interest for very long. If you've seen the show I'd love to hear what you have to say! leave a comment and lemme know what you think! =]

A little bit about me and Mediacritique

Hey guys! My name is Mary Azer and I'm a student at St. John's University in the pharmacy program. A little bit about myself is that I was born in Egypt and raised in New Jersey, so I am bilingual and speak fluent Arabic as well as English! I have two boys in my life that I love to death and they are my nephews Cyril Mina Azer and Gregory Basil Azer. <3 I have two older brothers, a doctor and a pharmacist, and my father is a pharmacist as well (go figure my major!)

Now a little bit about the blog background! One of my hobbies that I really enjoy is reading! I love to sit down with a good book on a rainy day like today and pass the time reading about warm sunny weather, or just anything I'm into at the moment. Obviously I'm not only a book worm because I can't help giving in to a favorite TV show or movie. This blog is going to be a little bit about everything from books, to shows, to movies, and everything in between!

Hope you guys enjoy the blog and let me know what YOU think!! =]
